Mosaic Workshop

We sell most of our smalti in 100g bags each of which contains around 35 individual pieces.  This amount should cover an 8cm by 8cm square.   To cover 1m²  you would need around 15kg of smalti.  We recommend cutting smalti either with wheeled glass cutters, or with a hammer and hardie.  Both methods cut accurately and produce minimal waste, which is key given the cost of smalti. 

A mix of random smalti (from both Orsoni and Donà) is available in 500g or 1kg bags - use the filter on the left to choose 'mixed colours'.     

We also have some vintage smalti in stock.  Because of the slightly irregular size of the tesserae, and the fact that they could do with a bit of a wash before you use them, we are offering them at reduced prices.   Use the filter on the left to choose 'vintage smalti' under 'Maker/Origin'.
