Students who are new to the craft start with a small project to familiarise themselves with the techniques, tools and materials.   Students who have already done mosaic can work on their own projects in the classes and receive tuition and guidance as necessary.

There is a limited range of materials in the studio but students may want to use their own for particular projects.  As well as using mosaic tiles students are encouraged to use recycled materials such as crockery and old ceramics.

The course takes a very hands on approach. Come and learn how to make mosaics in the artists own studio. The group will be small [maximum 5 students]- both beginners and experienced students are welcome.
You will work on individual projects creating your own glass, ceramic or marble mosaics. One and two day weekend adult mosaic courses, for beginners upwards. Groups are small, (maximum 5),friendly and tailored to individual needs. They take place in my lovely flat near brighton and Hove seafront, or in our glass art workshop on Shorham Beach. Weekly classes are also held in Shoreham on a Thursday morning.

Adult Mosaic Workshops in Bedfordshire

Taught by professional BAMM member, Dionne Ible, this is a therapeutic and addictive workshop, which will leave you wanting to do more.

The workshop is a taster session for those who have never done any mosaic work before or with very little experience.

Students will be given a small mosaic project such as a wall plaque, mirror or flowerpot and will be shown the Direct Method of applying tiles to their design.

The workshop will take place at the artist’s home in Bedfordshire where light refreshments will be provided. It may be advisable to bring a packed lunch, if you decide you want to take a break that is! Alternatively the nearest café is approximately 10mins walk away.

Workshops are for a duration of 7 hours (10am – 5pm) at a cost of £45 which includes all materials.
